Refrigerator & Freezer:

We can not disconnect or reconnect any water lines due to insurance liability. These must be disconnected before the mover arrives on moving day.

If your refrigerator is an older model equipped with a drip pan please empty it.

All contents must be removed from refrigerators and freezers to prevent damage to the interior.

 

 

Stove / Range:

We can not disconnect or reconnect any gas lines due to insurance liability. These must be disconnected before the mover arrives on moving day.

Newer model home may come equipped with a 4-prong outlet replacing the older 3-prong outlets. This could mean that you will have to replace the cord on your appliance before you can use it in your new home. The new cords can be found at most hardware stores.

 

 

Washer:

It is not a bad idea to disconnect the water hoses a few days before moving day incase you discover that they are impossible to remove because they have become corroded.  It is highly recommended that at the time of moving you replace your washer hoses. These are available at most hardware stores.

Please make sure that all of your clothes is removed from your washer.

 

 

Dryer:

Bookcase:

All items must be removed from bookcases.

 

 

 

Electronics:

All electronics must be unplugged and additional cords completely removed.

You should only count electronics that are not in a box. It is less expensive to move an electronic item in a box then if unboxed. The boxed electronic item would simply be counted as a box.

Televisions are not classified as electronics and don't need to be boxed.

 

 

 

Grandfather Clock:

Grandfather clocks must be serviced before they can be moved. We can not provide this service. The weights must be removed (do not touch with your hands, use a cloth), the pendulum removed, and the chains must be wrapped in a towel to prevent them from swinging into the glass sides. The weights and pendulum should be packed.

 

 

 

 

Lamp:

Lamps must be unplugged with shades and bulbs packed.

You should only count lamps that can't fit into a box. It is less expensive to move a lamp in a box then an unboxed lamp. The boxed lamp would simply be counted as a box.

 

 

Piano:

All pianos can only be moved from first floor to first floor. We can not move pianos up or down any flights of stairs. One or two steps out of a home is not a problem.  If you have any questions about your piano please call (916) 984-6600.

 

 

 

Picture:

Pictures must be removed from the wall and We can not hang pictures in your new home.

You should only count pictures that can't fit into a box. It is less expensive to move a picture in a box then an unboxed picture. The boxed picture would simply be counted as a box.

 

 

Plant:

You should only count plants that can't fit into a box. It is less expensive to move a plant in a box then an unboxed plant. The boxed plant would simply be counted as a box.

We are not liable for your plants survival.

 

 

Dresser:

We will move your dresser with the drawers in it.

The only items that may remain in the drawer in something made of cloth. Please remove all jewelry, perfume and non clothing.

We will remove and reinstall any mirrors attracted to your dresser.  The mirror must be listed separately in your inventory list.

 

 

 

File Cabinet:

Metal vertical files may remain full.

We have had some problems with the inexpensive wooden 2-drawer files when overloaded. The drawer slide may not be able to take the weight when moved.

All lateral files must be emptied. Per the manufacturers specifications, the drawer slides are not made to be moved full. (Sorry!)

 

 

 

Television:

All televisions must be unplugged and additional cords completely removed.

Televisions do not need to be boxed unless its a Plasma, please use your original box.

 

 

 

Bed:

We will disassemble and reassemble your beds.

All your bedding should be completely removed and packed.

Please advise us about any light bridges or unique disassembly requirements.

 

 

 

Water Bed:

All water beds must be completely drained. Make sure you allow enough time to do this, it could take several hours.

Advise us if you wish us to disassemble and reassemble your water bed, it is less expensive if you disassemble it ahead of time.

 

 

 

Desk & Credenza:

All drawers must be emptied and everything removed from the top.

Empty drawers may remain in for the move.

We can not disassemble furniture that will not fit through a door. This can be true of the build-it-yourself furniture that was built in the room and now will not fit out. You should measure your furniture ahead of time to determine if you need to disassemble it.

 

 

 

Exercise Equipment:

Free Weights: Every 100 pounds of weights should be counted as an item.

Universal Gyms: We will not disassemble or reassemble these work stations. Each disassembled piece must be able to fit through all doors.  No more than one weight stack per piece.

 

 

 

Hanging Clothes / 2 Feet

We can supply wardrobe boxes to move your hanging clothes from your closet on the day of the move. Each wardrobe box is 2 feet wide. For every 2 feet of hanging clothes you will need one wardrobe box.

We will bring the wardrobe boxes on moving day and place them in the needed rooms. After you are finished loading them we will move them to your new location for you to unload and return the box to us.

There is no cost for the use of the box, only for We to move them.

 

 

 

Mirror:

We will remove and reinstall any mirrors attracted to your dresser. We can not remove or hang mirrors attached to your walls.

 

 

 

Hutch / China Cabinet:

 

China cabinets are two pieces and hutches are only one piece.

Both must be completely emptied.

 

 

Boxes:

A small box is when a mover can carry two or more at a time.

A large box is when a mover can only carry one at a time.

All boxes must have covers and taped shut.

You may use a heavy duty trash bag to pack any cloth items such as bedding, towels, pillows, stuffed animals...

Gun Cabinet / Safe:

All the drawer must be empty.

If it is a gun safe we will need the weight to see if our equipment can handle the weight.

 

 

 

Metal Shelf:

The shelving must be emptied and disassembled to the point where it will fit through any doorways.

 

 

 

Pool Table:

The pool table must be completely disassembled down to the slate.

 

 

 

Power Tool:

Power tools must be able to fit through any doorways and please advise We about any unusually heavy items.

Examples: Drill press, Table saw, Jointer...

 

 

 

Sports Equipment:

Examples: Skis, golf bags, hockey equipment...

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Air Conditioner:

We can not remove or install air conditioners.

 

 

 

Lawn Mower / Riding Lawn Mower / Leaf Blower

We can move these items with gas in them, we do ask that you try to keep the level as low as possible.

Try to remove any loose grass from the top to help keep our trucks clean.

 

 

 

Outdoor Sculptures:

Examples: Bird bath, lawn ornaments...

 

 

 

Outdoor Tools:

Examples: Rake, Shovel, Weed whacker...

 

 

 

 

 

 

Portable Basketball Hoop:

Remove any anchors holding it to the ground.

This portable basketball hoop is the kind out would have out in your driveway not the small plastic type. The small plastic ones should be placed in the "Large Toys" section.

 

 

 

Sand Box:

All sand must be removed from your sand box and cleaned.

 

 

 

Swing Set:

Toys-Large

These are toys that are too large to fit in a box. Please remove and pack any loose parts.
